Wolfe Tones V An Port Mór

Preview 4/10/20

A tough task awaits An Port Mór’s seniors as they travel North to face promotion chasers Wolfe Tones. This is the North Armagh men’s first season in ACL 2B and on current form their stay will be a short lived one. Having beaten Clonmore last day out, Wolfe Tones sit joint top of the division having won five of their six games.

An Port Mór on the other hand have won just one of their six games, having also drawn one. Their form may be a little better than their results suggest. In their three most recent games, all have been decided decisively in the final quarter. Last day out against Keady it was goals that done the damage. An Port Mór will be hoping to tighten things up at the back, keep the forwards scoring and win more ball around the middle.

The last time these teams met it took a late Finian Morriarty point to seal a one point victory for the Derrymacash outfit. Both team need the points for different reasons but it will be Wolfe Tones with the favourites tag on their back. The game is being played in Wolfe Tones, on one of the best pitches in the county. Get along and support the lads as they search for two crucial points.
