Players Code Of Conduct

 

O’Neills GFC An Port Mor are fully committed to safe guarding and promoting the well being of its members. We believe that coaches, administrators, players and parents associated with An Port Mor must at all times show respect for the safety and welfare of everyone.

 

Therefore all members are encouraged to be open and share any concerns are complaints with the Chairman.

 

PLAYING MEMBERS

  • Members will take care of all property belonging to the club, themselves and other member.

  • Members will Respect the coaches and officials with in the club and remember they are giving their time and expertise Voluntary.

  • Members will be on time for training and matches so as not to disrupt the smooth running of their team. If they are to be late or unable to attend they should notify their coach.

  • Foul language is not acceptable at anytime.

  • Respect the referee – His decision is final.

  • Be proud of the club, its history and the jersey.

  • Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background, race or religion.

 

MEMBERS SHOULD ABIDE BY THE FAIR PLAY POLICY SET OUT BELOW:

  • The aim of the game is to get enjoyment, improve skills and performance.

  • Players should demonstrate good sportsmanship and control of their temper at all times – No Spitting, Striking, Deliberate distraction or provoking an opponent or verbal abuse.

  • Player should try to understand the rules and accept the decisions of the officials and coaches.

  • Players should have respect for themselves, team mates, coaches and club officials.

 

Members should have the appropriate gear for indoor and outdoor activities:

  • Appropriate footwear(football boots/Trainers)

  • Shorts/Tracksuit bottoms

  • Appropriate clothing for weather conditions

 

While we respect other codes of sport we encourage promotion of Gaelic Games Merchandise during Training.
